Cannes - Day 6

Friday was a late night. Went to sleep around 8 am and got up at 11. We snuck out to grab some breakfast at about 1 pm. We all wanted something breakfast-y, like pancakes or waffles, but all the restaurants were on to lunch. We ended up at one of the places on the beach side of La Croisette. Food was nice. We were served an amuse bouche... very interesting. Trio of sorbets to share - beet, cucumber and wasabi. Deeelicious. Then steak with an herb butter. Then a really awful creme brulee. It looked better than it tasted.

We then went back to the hotel and worked more on the event list. Whoohoo. We worked all afternoon. Exhausted, we decided to eat dinner at the closest place, Papa Nino's. We trudged two blocks through the rain (what up Cannes weather?!) and sat down for a bottle of red wine and spaghetti bolognese. I don't mean to talk about food all the time here, but it's the only thing I get to do here besides sit inside the lobby and work.
