I'm in Portland for a few days, visiting the fam and friends and generally taking a break from LA. And though being in Portland means a lot of things - great beers, fresh NW seafood, clean air, free wifi...... it's never complete without Karaoke from Hell. Basically it's just karaoke - but with a live band!! I don't know why, but the live band suddenly makes karaoke cool, even 10 years past its prime. And they have a huge playlist and the lead guy, Tres, is a hoot and a half.
My friend Natalie got up on stage for her FIRST TIME EVER. Amazing. And she did so well!! Aubrey did a couple songs. Both tried to do one final song before we closed the place down, but there were just too many people in front of us on the play list. Aubrey tried her best to bribe the band with drinks, but wasn't as successful as she had hoped.
